FAQ: Availability Change Requests in UKG Dimensions
Where do I change my availability in UKG Dimensions?
Go to Main Menu > My Information > My Calendar, select New Request, then Availability Change. Pick the affected dates, set the status for each, review, and submit for manager approval.
What do the availability statuses mean in UKG Dimensions?
Unavailable means you cannot work those times, Available means you can, and Preferred Available signals the times you would most like to be scheduled. You can replace your existing availability for the selected dates or add specific times to it.
How do I check whether my availability change was approved?
Open My Calendar and select the Requests tab – it shows each request and its current status as your manager reviews it.
Can I submit availability changes from a shared kiosk instead of the portal?
Organizations using a UKG-connected self-service kiosk such as CloudApper hrPad can let employees submit availability and schedule requests right on the floor, without logging in to the portal.
Make availability changes effortless for frontline teams
Portal logins are where frontline availability updates go to die. CloudApper hrPad puts availability, PTO, and schedule requests on a shared UKG-connected tablet — so changes get submitted when they occur to people, not when they finally reach a desk.
