CloudApper AI is hosting a free 30-minute live-build session on September 23, 2026, where UKG users vote on a real functionality gap and watch CloudApper build, configure, and demo the fix live. Attendees will vote on a real UKG challenge, then watch CloudApper build, configure, and demo the fix live during the 30-minute session.

We’re a UKG Technology Partner, and we’re announcing the UKG Personalization Live-Build Workshop, a free workshop live on Zoom on September 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET. It’s also listed on LinkedIn for anyone who’d rather register there.
The format skips the scripted demo. Participants submit a real HR, payroll, workforce, or IT requirement they’re currently stuck on inside UKG, the group votes on which one to tackle, and we build, configure, and demonstrate a working solution for it live, on the call, in 30 minutes.
Registrants can submit their UKG gap before the event, and during the session the hosts run through the top submissions and let the room vote. Say the winning pick is a shift-swap approval flow still buried in three rounds of email. The team builds and configures a working version of it live, narrating each decision as it happens instead of unveiling a finished demo at the end.
CloudApper says the session reflects how it works with customers generally: closing UKG’s functionality gaps by building the workflows, integrations, and employee experiences that fit the platform to how a business actually runs, rather than asking the business to adapt to the software.
Who’s running it
Three people who’ve worked both sides of the UKG relationship are hosting:
- Olaf Jorgenson, former Enterprise Architect at UKG, now Senior GTM Executive at CloudApper
- Matthew Taylor, former Technology Partner Executive at UKG, now VP of Commercial Alliances at CloudApper
- Michael Trader, Chief Growth Officer at CloudApper
They spent years building inside UKG before switching to building around it, so they know both what’s technically possible and what customers keep asking for and not getting.
Who this workshop is for
The session is aimed at HR, payroll, workforce management, and IT leaders running UKG Pro, Dimensions, or Ready who have a specific customization sitting in a backlog somewhere, the kind of request that’s technically doable but never quite makes it onto a roadmap. Nothing needs to be fully scoped ahead of time. A rough description of the gap, what it should do and why the current setup falls short, is enough to put it up for a vote.
What attendees walk away with
- A live application build, start to finish, based on whatever the audience votes to solve
- Practical personalization ideas spanning employee, manager, HR, payroll, and IT workflows
- A technical Q&A on UKG data, integrations, SSO, and security, the questions that usually stall a build before it starts
- A recording of the full session and short highlight clips, sent afterward to everyone who registered, even if they couldn’t attend live
Why it matters for UKG users
UKG is a capable platform, but the moment a company needs something specific, a workflow that matches how its payroll actually runs, an integration nobody’s built yet, permissions structured around its org chart instead of a template, it tends to hit a wall. That kind of request usually gets logged as a “nice to have” and never scheduled.
Part of the reason is cost and timeline. A custom build normally means a scoping call, a proposal, a development cycle measured in weeks or months, and a budget conversation before anyone sees whether the idea even works. The live-build format compresses that entire process into something an audience can watch happen in real time, with no lead-up and no guarantee the request will look simple once someone actually opens the platform.
This is CloudApper’s attempt to close a gap like that in real time, in front of an audience, without months of scoping calls first. Whether it holds up against a genuinely hard request is something attendees will be able to judge for themselves on September 23, rather than take on faith from a scripted product demo.
CloudApper AI is a UKG Technology Partner and has won UKG’s Influencer Award (2025) and Innovation Award (2023).
How to join
The workshop is free and streams live on Zoom. UKG users can register at the UKG Personalization Live-Build Workshop registration page; only registrants receive the recording afterward. Registering ahead of September 23 is what unlocks the option to submit a challenge for the vote, so it’s worth doing even for anyone unsure they’ll make the live call.
